Trauma, Transformation, & Resilience Program
Advancing the Art and Science of Trauma Focused Therapy
Being human is difficult.
We are living in a period of prolonged psychological suffering and stress. So many of us need help living with increased everyday stressors, grief, social/economic challenges, pandemic problems, and the lasting impact of past traumas.
We can’t just “tough it out” when we face these problems, as they affect us on every level, from our immune system functioning and physical health to our levels of depression and anxiety.
We are not designed to cope with these alone, and evidence-based, collaborative help is available.
Our Trauma Transformation, and Resilience (TTR) program is designed to support you in any stage of your healing.
Trauma, no matter how recent or distant, can leave long-lasting effects in our minds and bodies. Our integrative approach to working with trauma can help you safely connect to the present, compassionately develop new relationships with the past, and meaningfully build a future.
We prioritize safety, collaboration, and the therapeutic relationship. Initial sessions will work to identify goals, current struggles, and treatment options moving forward.
Resilience is not an innate ability, but rather a set of skills that can be learned and cultivated.
Is Trauma-Focused Therapy Right For Me?
When you hear the word trauma, you may think of specific extreme events such as assaults, accidents, or near-death experiences. While these are traumatic events that will also benefit from trauma-focused treatment, it is very common to experience trauma-related symptoms from events that don’t fall neatly into these categories.
It is important to know that a trauma response is the body and mind’s response to overwhelming stress and threat. Neglect, abandonment, loss, life transitions, chronic stress, socio-political stressors, and toxic relationships can all lead to trauma-related symptoms.
We work with individuals who may experience the following:
Anxiety and depression
Difficulties in relationships
Difficulties trusting others
Hypervigilance / Feeling “on guard”
Feeling disconnected from oneself and others
Nightmares
Intrusive thoughts and images
Whether experiencing single incident traumatic events, ongoing chronic stress, or daily stressors, trauma-focused therapy can not only help alleviate current struggles, but also help your nervous system better cope with future stressors.
